First too Dry, Then Too Wet - The 2011 Harvest The harvest in Germany this year is predicted to turn out far leaner usual. Extremes of weather have taken their toll on rye, wheat and other grains. First, the spring was too hot and dry, then the summer was too wet and rainy. Many of the fields are waterlogged, especially in eastern Germany.
