Floating gardens in France

Amiens in France's Picardy region is famous for its cathedral. But there's far more to the city than that. For centuries, fruit and vegetables have been grown on artificial islands in the marshlands between the Somme and the Avre Rivers. Every June, people flock here from all over France to watch a unique parade of vegetable gardeners in fully-laden, traditional boats.
