Food shortage protests in Venezuela

Venezuela's state-owned oil company announced this weekend that its revenue fell by more than 40 percent last year due to the steep decline in oil prices. The sector's nose-dive exacerbates Venezuela's already dire economic situation. 80 percent of basic consumer products, including food, are in short supply. Protests have spread across the country.
