Far-right Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir is banned from entering French territory. The ban comes as global outrage grows over Israel's treatment of activists detained while trying to deliver aid to Gaza.

France has barred Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir as international outrage grows after accounts of abuses of detained Gaza flotilla activists.

People who were held have reported beatings and sexual assault. Some have been hospitalized. The citizens of several European countries were among the activists held.

Calls for EU sanctions are growing as Ben‑Gvir faces criticism for his hard-line policies.
