France's Socialist party is facing a test of strength this weekend after elections for a new leader have further divided the party. Former labour Minister Martine Aubry beat former presidential candidate Segolene Royal by a mere 42 votes when around 148 thousand members voted in a party poll. Royal herself has refused to concede defeat. +++ SYN-MAZ +++
