On May 1 Polish, Czech and Lithuanian citizens will be able to take up employment in Germany without restriction. Some Germans fear for the future of their jobs. But some businesspeople are hoping to fill vacant posts with skilled workers from the new EU member states.

Many Poles and Czechs already work in certain sectors, such as care for the elderly. MADE IN GERMANY reporter Karl Harenbrock has been talking to Polish workers--to find out if anyone is planning to come to Germany.
