French police arrest 5 new suspects in Louvre jewel heist

Five more people have been arrested in connection with the crown-jewel heist at Paris's Louvre Museum in coordinated raids in and around the French capital. According to police, DNA evidence led to one of the suspects.

DNA evidence has led to new arrests in the Louvre jewel heist investigation near Paris.

Prosecutors say the suspects are linked to the theft of eight historic pieces, including items once owned by Napoleon's wife.

CCTV footage, phones and other clues are helping investigators close in on the stolen loot.

Experts warn that recovering the jewels is key to preventing future museum thefts.
