G20 agree an agenda for the world financial summit in April: Tighter regulations for rating agencies

As you heard earlier in this Journal, European members of the G20 have agreed an agenda for the world financial summit in April. They're talking about intensified international cooperation and much tougher regulation of financial markets. Rating agencies have come in for particular criticism for not providing early warnings that companies were at risk.
