G7 ministers meeting in Rome look for ways to halt the global recession

The global economic crisis is also topping the agenda of a meeting of G-7 finance ministers in Rome. Officials from the leading industrial nations are discussing concerns about protectionism. They're also talking about new rules for financial markets and the effect of the crisis on poorer countries.
