Gaza residents reject Donald Trump's plans of a US takeover and the resettlement of Palestinians in Egypt and Jordan. Many are still grappling with the Israel-Hamas conflict but have no desire to leave the territory.

Ahmad Badwan, a resident of Gaza City, had been clinging to the hope of returning home during the Israel-Hamas conflict in the Gaza Strip. When he and his family returned, his home was gone.

"No home, no life, nothing," Badwan told DW. "I brought a tarp and nails, but I don't know where to set up a tent for my daughter and me."

Even so, he has no plans to leave his homeland despite US President Donald Trump announcing plans to take over Gaza and resettle millions of Palestinians in Egypt and Jordan.

Find out what Badwan and other Gaza City residents have to say to Trump's plans for the Palestinian territory.
