As Israeli troops partially withdraw from Gaza, thousands of displaced Palestinians are returning to what remains of their homes.

A fragile ceasefire in Gaza has allowed displaced Palestinians to return to devastated areas like Gaza City and Khan Younis.

After two years of war, many find their homes reduced to rubble. Israeli forces have partially withdrawn as agreed, but still occupy border zones amounting to more than half of the Gaza Strip.

While the United Nations is ramping up to finally deliver desperately needed humanitarian aid, 48 Israeli hostages are set to be exchanged for over 1,900 Palestinian detainees.
