Gaza: UN demands accountability as reporter death toll soars

The United Nations has demanded accountability following an Israeli attack on a Gaza hospital that killed 20 people, including five journalists. Reporters Without Borders says more than 200 journalists have been killed since the Israel-Hamas war began.

Following the deaths of at least 20 people, including five journalists, in twin Israeli strikes on Nasser Hospital in Gaza, the United Nations is demanding accountability.

Press freedom groups have described the Israel-Hamas war as the deadliest conflict for journalists ever recorded. This recent attack has highlighted long-standing concerns over civilian safety, compounded by Israel's refusal to allow international media into the Gaza Strip.
