Gazans confront massive cleanup amid aid shortage

While the current ceasefire offers welcome moments of relief for Palestinians in Gaza, aid organizations remain focused on feeding the exhausted, starved and grieving population. Israel says it's restricting the flow of humanitarian aid to the territory, citing the slow return of hostage remains.

A fragile truce holds in Gaza, but survival remains a daily struggle. After two years of war, food, water, fuel, and medicine are critically scarce. Aid is trickling in far below the needed volume, says the ICRC. Border restrictions and security concerns are slowing relief efforts, with Israel citing unresolved hostage issues under a US-brokered ceasefire.
