An independent UN commission says Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. It concluded that Israel carried out four of the five genocidal acts defined under international law since the start of the war in 2023.

More than 700 days after Hamas’s deadly attacks on Israel, a UN Human Rights Council inquiry has concluded that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. The report cites mass killings, destruction of homes and hospitals, and a blockade of essential supplies. It accuses top Israeli leaders of inciting violence and highlights attacks on children, hospitals, and refugee camps. Israel rejects the findings as "fake" and "scandalous."
