Geologists in Afghanistan suggest the country is sitting on a fortune of raw materials. US advisers estimate the value of raw materials and precious metals to be nearly 1- Trillion Dollars. If this is confirmed observors say the revenue from mining could help Afghan communities shift away from poppy farming.
