German Development Organisation in Southern Afghanistan?

In Afghanistan, as the violence escalates, more and more western NGOs and relief organisations have expressed their concerns about security. The Netherlands, which has 1,300 troops in the restive province of Uruzgan in the country's south, want Germany's Society for Technical Co-operation (GTZ) to expand its work to the province.
