German parliamentary inquiry is set up to investigate an airstrike in Afghanistan that left a large number of civilians dead

Here in Germany, a parliamentary committee has been set up to investigate the events surrounding a controversial airstrike ordered by German forces in Afghanistan. Up to 142 people were killed, including many civilians, in the September attack on two fuel tankers hijacked by the Taliban. The Bundestag has also discussed the issue - and the government's handling of it - in a special session.
