#Germany Decides: Hard-right threat?

Germany is bracing for a national election and the far-right Alternative for Germany looks set to enter parliament. So how dangerous is the AfD? Guests: Malte Lehming (Tagesspiegel), Job Janssen (freelance journalist), Barbara Junge (taz).

Barbara Junge is deputy editor in chief for the german daily newspaper taz. She says: "In this upcoming election for the first time in post war history right wing extremists will be elected to the German parliament. To me this is a threat."

Malte Lehming is an editor for the daily newspaper “Tagesspiegel”. He says: “Germany can cope with the AfD. 10 percent right wing populists won’t harm demorcracy.”

Job Janssen is a dutch freelance journalist with a focus on right wing populism. He says: “The exclusion of politically disenchanted people by established parties is far more dangerous than the inclusion of the AfD.”
