Germany defies crisis and slower growth to post budget surplus

It's raining Euros in Germany... Literally! -- The government took in more money than it spent in the first half of the year. The surplus was due to a strong labor market and steady demand for new homes. Payments into the retirement and social systems were also notably higher.
