From a time before the internet, Europe's oldest Japanese bookstore sits in Düsseldorf's Little Tokyo neighborhood. Takagi Books & More started with newspapers for expats and now serves as a tiny bridge to Japan.

If you walk down Immermannstrasse in Düsseldorf, you might think you've been transported to Japan. The city's Little Tokyo neighborhood, home to the third-largest Japanese community in Europe, is lined with Japanese supermarkets, ramen shops, bakeries and a bookstore that is older than the Internet.

Takagi Books & More and its general manager, Yurie Takagi, connect people with her parents' home country.
