Germany is one of a number of countries boycotting today's UN conference on racism

A major United Nations conference on racism in Geneva is being boycotted by a number of European countries including Germany. The US, Australia, Italy and Canada are also among those who won't be attending. They fear the conference will be used as a platform for criticism of Israel. Some are also worried by the choice of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as one of the opening speakers.
