Germany joins the chorus of calls for a European Monetary Fund

Greece's economic crisis is getting international attention today. In Washington, Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou is meeting with President Barack Obama. He's expected to call for coordinated action against bond speculators who've made it difficult for Athens to raise funds to pay down its public debt. Here in Europe, that was also foremost on the agenda of talks between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Luxembourg's Prime Minister and Eurozone chairman Jean-Claude Juncker.
