Germany says it's ready to station several thousand additional troops in Lithuania on a permanent basis to strengthen NATO's eastern border. Germany already has around 1,000 troops on the ground there. Lithuania's President Gitanas Nauseda has been calling for a stronger NATO presence in his country.
