Germany's governing coalition collapses: What now?

The governing coalition in Germany has collapsed and Chancellor Olaf Scholz has called for a confidence-vote in January. Scholz, of the Social Democratic party, dismissed Finance Minister Christian Lindner, who leads the business-friendly Free Democrats.
