Germany's Green Party elects the Cem Özdemir, son of Turkish immigrants, as one of their national party co-leaders - jd 15.11.2008 16

The German Green Party has marked a milestone at it's party conference in the city of Erfurt this Saturday. Delegates have elected Cem Özz-demir to the post of party co-leader. Özz-demir is the son of Turkish immigrants - he is Germany's first national party leader from a migrant background.
