Germany's leading economic institutes expect the economy to contract by around 6 percent

SHANE: The German economy has to brace itself for a deepening economic crisis over the coming months. That's been the message from Germany's leading economic institutes, who presented their latest assessment of domestic economic activity today. PETER: They say they expect the economy to contract by around 6- percent this year. That would be Germany's worst performance in post-war history - and it puts hundreds of thousands of jobs on the line.
