People around the world exchange information on online, independent of their native language. Most online activity is dominated by English, Chinese, Spanish and Arabic.

Only five percent of the world’s 7,000 spoken languages are represented online. Researchers warn this may lead to a "digital language death”. Our Global Count takes a closer look at these developments.
