"Globalization is a double-edged sword, it can be good, it can be bad."
September 7, 2012
"I come from Pakistan. What I saw in my country, globalization, for example McDonald's, KFCs and Pizza Huts, when they came to Pakistan.
In a way it was good, because there was progress. In a way it was good and Pakistan got connected with the rest of the world, in a way it was bad because the people who would sell the local food would get jobless because of globalization. It’s a two edged sword, it can be good, it can be bad.
As long as you have power in balance in the world and power in balance in the countries and nations, globalization won’t be that effective.
To have real good globalization you need to have at least some kind of economic justice between societies because than you can have equal opportunities for nations to compete with other nations. And within nations you have people like for example from different classes they can compete with each other. Otherwise just one section of the society gets benefited by the process of globalization."
