Gold consumption in China jumps

Gold consumption in China has jumped 54- percent to 706 metric tons in the first six months, making China the world's new number one gold nation. China's growing appetite for the prescious metal has partly to do with investors' losing trust in the country's booming property market amid fears of a real estate bubble.
