Guttenberg defends his Kunduz mistakes

And German defence minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg has defended his response to an airstrike in northern Afghanistan last September. Some 142 people, including many civilians, were killed in the attack which was ordered by a German officer. Guttenberg's comments came during questioning by a parliamentary committee investigating the incident. Although he was not Defence Minister at the time of the attack, he later described it as appropriate - and then changed his position shortly afterwards.
