Do you go crazy at parties and dance on the tables after just a few drinks? Your friends might say you tend to make "Halligalli." That's not necessarily a bad thing - but wild behavior has its time and place.
For many adults that's hard to learn - but may be even more difficult for children. "There were clowns, a bouncy castle, lots of games, and plenty of Halligalli!" If you hear that after a kids' birthday party, you know everyone had a good time.
But sometimes Halligalli is completely out of place. Parents, for example, might tell their children to "Get ready for bed without any Halligalli!"
Exactly where the funny sounding word comes from is unclear, but it might have something to do with a dance from the 1960s known as Hully Gully.
