LEVERKUSEN 3 SCHALKE 1

Schalke`s miserable week continues. They lose at Leverkusen in spite of going ahead through captain Marcelo Bordon. Castro scored twice for Leverkusen before Ramelow got the third goal shortly before the end. Schalke seemed still under shock after their UEFA Cup elimination against French club Nancy in midweek where they lost their popular striker Gerald Asamoah with a broken leg

NUREMBERG 1 MAINZ 1

Nuremberg moved back into first place on goal difference but squandered their chance to move further in front. Jan Polak put Nuremberg ahead in the 24th minute but Mainz keeper Dimo Wache stopped a Robert Vittek penalty four minutes later and Christoph Babatz got the deserved equaliser five minutes from time. Nuremberg were down to 10 men two minutes before halftime when Jawher Mnari was sent off with a straight red card.

ALEMANNIA AACHEN 2 BOCHUM 1
Aachen are currently the best newcomers inthe Bundesliga of the season and on Saturday they stunned Bochum with two goals in two minutes just after the half-time break. The win means they jump to sixth place with nine points after their third victory in six matches.

Theofanis Gekas put the visitors ahead in the 37th minute before Jan Schlaudraff scored the equaliser in the 48th minute and Sascha Roesler struck a minute later.

ARMINIA BIELEFELD 3 ENERGIE COTTBUS 1

Energie Cottbus squandered their chance to go top, conceding three second half goals after leading 1-0 on a Vlad Munteanu score in the 22nd minute that had them briefly atop the Bundesliga table. Sibusiso Zuma equalised three minutes after the interval before Artur Wichniarek and Ioannis Masmanidis added the goals that gave the points to Bielefeld.

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT 2 HAMBURG 2

Hamburg came from behind twice to salvage a point at Frankfurt but it was their 11th straight game without a win in all competitions and left the team that started the season dreaming of the championship in the relegation zone on 16th
place with just five points.

Eighth-placed Frankfurt stayed unbeaten with one win and five draws. Alexander Meier and Ioannis Amanatidis scored for Frankfurt while Danijel Ljuboja and Boubacar Sanogo, with his fourth goal of the season, got the equalisers for Hamburg.


WOLFSBURG 1 BAYERN MUNICH 0

Mike Hanke scored his first goal in seven months and Wolfsburg got their first win of the season with the shock victory over champions Bayern, who fell from first to fourth with their second Bundesliga loss in six matches. Bayern, looking fatigued after their 2-0 Champions League win at Inter Milan three days earlier, were especially disappointing in the final 20 minutes where they usually excel at saving points with last-gasp goals.


WERDER BREMEN 3 BORUSSIA MOENCHENGLADBACH 0

Werder erupted for three goals in five minutes late in the first half with Aaron Hunt, Christian Schulz and Brazilian Diego beating Gladbach's American keeper Kasey Keller in quick succession between the 33rd and 38th. Diego's curling free kick was best goals, just clearing the wall and tucking into the upper left hand corner for in-form Bremen.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND 2 HANOVER 2

On Friday Hanover twice came from behind in a furious second-half spell to earn the draw. Ebi Smolarek opened the scoring with a tap-in in the
fifth minute and Dortmund stayed in control before three goals in the space of four minutes settled the match.

Vahid Hashemian grabbed the first equaliser in the 74th minute. Smolarek put Dortmund back in front almost immediately but two minutes later Szabolcs Huszti had Hanover level again.
