01/10/08October 1, 2008

The authorities have imposed a curfew in several towns of India’s eastern state of Orissa after fresh clashes between Hindus and Christians. A woman was killed and eight other people injured on Tuesday in the highly-sensitive district of Khandamal. A series of recent attacks on Christians in three Indian states has killed at least 34 people and led to dozens of churches being damaged.
