Hindus Protest in Malaysia

November 26, 2007

In Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur, thousands of ethnic Indians staged a massive anti-government rally at the weekend. Police used tear gas and water cannons to stop the protests, saying they were illegal. The protests were organised by a rights group, which says Hindus are discriminated against in the Malay majority country. The government denies the charges.
