Monsoon flooding has killed dozens and displaced thousands in Malaysia and Thailand. The Thai military has joined the rescue operation as rescue efforts are being hampered by damaged roads and bridges.

After record rainfall, severe flooding has hit southern Thailand and parts of Malaysia.

The heaviest downpours in over 300 years submerged the southern Thai city of Hat Yai under water up to two meters deep.

More than 2 million people face displacement as emergency teams struggle to reach hospitals and evacuation centers.
