As anger in Hong Kong mounts over the deadliest fires in 70 years, some of those demanding answers have been detained under the China-imposed National Security Law.

Hong Kong is reeling after its deadliest fire in nearly 70 years. Grief is turning to anger over ignored warnings and safety lapses. Authorities promise an inquiry, but the China-imposed National Security Law looms large: Some citizens demanding answers are being detained, and others are left too scared to voice their criticism for fear of being arrested for "sedition."
