How a Pakistan project helps female doctors get back to work

Thousands of female doctors in Pakistan leave the medical profession due to family priorities. But the nation needs medics, so now an educational initiative is helping former doctors get back into the field.

Research by Gallup Pakistan and PRIDE across Pakistan indicates that up to 35% of female doctors in Pakistan are unemployed — more than 36,000.

e-Doctor, a joint project launched in 2018 by the education platform Educast and Dow University of Health Sciences, is trying to plug the gap.
