How healthy is peanut butter?

It looks delicious, it smells delicious, but ask many people and they'll tell you it's fattening. But peanut butter is actually healthier than you think.

Peanut butter does indeed contain fat, but then we are supposed to draw 30 percent of our recommended daily calorie intake from healthy fats. And peanut butter is a good choice for that. It's a good source of protein, dietary fiber and vitamin E. The same applies to peanuts generally or other nuts such as almonds or walnuts. They offer a good way of making sure you get your daily dose of healthy fats.
