In Sisimiut, Greenland, musher Nukaaraq Olsen keeps a generations‑old dogsledding tradition alive. Raised around sled dogs, he now trains his own 23‑dog team, hunts caribou and marine animals to feed them, and builds his own sleds. Guided by the legacy of his father he sees dogsledding as culture, identity and freedom. As he prepares for the national dogsled race, Nukaaraq hopes not only to win but to help preserve Greenland’s unique Arctic heritage for the next generation.
