While ordinary Iranians are still cut off from the world by the longest internet blackout in Iran's history, the regime itself is working hard to spread its narrative of the protests that have gripped the country.

Iran's state media shows funeral processions in Tehran, blaming foreign powers for alleged killings by protesters. Experts call it a textbook propaganda move, as most Iranians remain cut off from the world. Only a shrinking minority supports the Islamic Republic according to some analysts, while security forces suppress dissent. Observers warn a leadership crisis could spark unrest, exposing realities the regime seeks to hide.
