Fed-up with thieves and robbers, young people from one of the largest cities in Gambia set up a militia to patrol the streets at night.

They are fed-up with criminal activities in Brikama Daruhairu and decided to take the law into their own hands. Young people formed a militia to watch suspicious activities. They patrol the streets from 2am to 6am, seven days per week. The idea came up following a rise in criminal activities in the area. Since they started it, crime rate has dropped in the area. They have the support from the community
