The reason is Starlink, Musk's satellite internetnetwork, which has become vital to Ukraine's defense against Russia. Starlink enables battlefield communication, drone operations, and military coordination while remaining unavailable to Russian forces in Ukraine. Kyiv hopes Musk will further expand Starlink's coverage to enhance Ukraine's long-range military capabilities into Russia.
