With hyperbaric oxygen therapy, patients breathe pure oxygen while in a pressure chamber. That increases the oxygen concentration in their blood, which can be beneficial in treating a number of disorders. These include tinnitus, slow-healing wounds, osteomyelitis, damage resulting from radiation therapy, compromised skin grafts and implants, burns, necrotizing soft tissue, and other disorders.
