French President Nicholas Sarkozy is fending off accusations of nepotism following the nomination of his 23-year-old son, Jean, to head a public agency in Paris. Opposition leaders say the second year law student lacks the experience to manage EPAD, the agency responsible for the development of La Defense, the business district in the centre of Paris. But the President, who used to run the same EPAD agency until his election as president in 2007, says his son is being unfairly victimised.
