About 100,000 people marched in Berlin to demand an end to the war in Gaza and Germany’s support for Israel. The protest, organized by Amnesty International and dozens of other groups, called for a ceasefire, unrestricted humanitarian aid and a halt to German arms exports to Israel. Though the main rally remained peaceful, police shut down a smaller protest, claiming illegal activity.
