Large crowds of Palestinians gathered around trucks Monday in Gaza’s Khan Younis, with people grabbing bags and boxes of aid supplies. Meanwhile, Israel's defense minister Israel Katz visited troops in Gaza prior to a government decision on a full Israeli takeover of the territory.

Humanitarian conditions in southern Gaza remain dire: Aid trucks arriving from Israel are insufficient, forcing displaced Palestinians to walk long distances and fight for basic supplies. In Khan Younis, hunger and desperation grow, with injured civilians unable to reach aid. Israeli airstrikes continue, targeting the militant Hamas group, but also causing civilian casualties.
