In Prague the Czech Government says it's ready to resign after losing a vote of confidence in parliament

The Czech Republic's centre-right minority government has lost a vote of no-confidence midway through the country's six-month EU presidency. The European Commission said it was confident, however, that Prague could continue its EU role effectively. According to the constitution, Czech President Vatslav Klaus must decide who to choose to form a new government.
