A female biker gang in Mumbai is fighting for independence. They want freedom for women in Indian society – and are making a statement on their motorcycles.

As night falls over Mumbai, Amruta Mane and her “Women on Wheels” crew take to the streets on motorcycles—challenging gender norms in India’s megacity. Once confined to domestic roles, these women now ride with confidence and purpose. Amruta, who founded a female-only riding school, has trained over 5,000 women. Her mission: empower women through mobility, education, and community. Their journey is a symbol of freedom and change.
