Indonesia's new capital: Costly bet or sound investment?

Nusantara is projected to cost $32 billion (€29 billion) and the government is hoping that private investors will foot most of the bill. The new Indonesian capital is expected to be fully ready by 2045, but the plan is to have some state institutions move there from early 2024.
