Bulletin board made with corks
January 11, 2018Advertisement
You'll need
- a square photo frame. Sari's is 25 by 25 centimeters and 5 centimeters deep
- plenty of bottle corks, which you can order online
- various paints, e.g. chalk paints because they are opaque and dry quickly
- a brush
- hot glue
- a hammer and a nail
Instructions
First arrange the corks in your photo frame, row by row.
Sari used 8 corks in 8 rows - for a total of 64 corks.
It's easier to arrange the rows if the corks are all the same size.
Once you've filled the frame with corks, you can take out a few corks out and paint them.
Sari used three different colors.
While the painted corks dry, mount the other corks in the frame with the hot glue.
When the painted corks have dried, fill the gaps in the frame by mounting the painted corks using hot glue.
Hammer a nail in the wall, and hang your finished bulletin board on it and pin things on it as you like.
Good to know
If you’d like the bulletin board in another shape, you can use other frames that fit that shape.
